Actual Princess drink package cost
Princess adds 18% gratuity to the Plus Beverage Package at purchase and it is not optional. That gap, $11.70 a day, is the single most common surprise on the folio. Everything below already includes it.
How much are mixed drinks on a Princess cruise? $15.00
That is the median of 55 individually priced cocktails, from real onboard menu photographs. Every category below is the same: counted, not estimated.
Alcohol categories first, then everything else. Prices are as printed on the menu, before the 18% bar gratuity. The $15 cap is the Plus Beverage Package's per-drink ceiling: above it Princess covers $15 of the drink and you pay the difference.

The Plus package covers 83% of the bar
110 of the 132 priced alcoholic drinks on Princess sit at or under the $15 cap, so the package pays for those in full. On the other 22 you pay only the difference, not the whole drink.

22 drinks sit above the $15 cap
Grace O'Malley's Irish Coffee at $26.00, Wicklow Pipes at $25.00, Fancy Pants Paloma at $20.00, Diplomático Daiquiri at $20.00, Hot Pants at $19.00, Salted Watermelon Margarita at $19.00. On these Princess covers $15 and charges you the difference, not the full price. Everything else on the alcoholic list is paid in full.

Drink Package price drop alerts
Finish the calculator at the top of this page and the result comes with a price alert. Pick your ship and sail date, confirm your email with a six-digit code, and we will write to you when the Plus package is reported at least 5% below the price you were quoted.
- ·Drops only. A rise never triggers an email.
- ·Tied to your sailing, and it stops on your sail date.
- ·Triggered by reports that agree, not by one anecdote.
4 points today, more as people report.
Prices people actually paid are collected in the calculator at the top of this page, not here. Reports are held until three independent observations agree for a ship and month, so nothing arrives on this chart as a single anecdote.

Gratuity
Princess adds an 18% service charge to the package price: $64.99 a day becomes $76.70 on Plus, and $84.99 becomes $100.30 on Premier. Both figures are per person, per day, for every day of the sailing.
Max drink value
Drinks above the package's per-drink cap aren't refused: you pay the difference. Plus covers up to $15, Premier up to $20.
Daily limit
Plus allows 15 beverages per 24 hours (6am–6am), counting soft drinks as well as alcohol. Specialty coffees, teas and small bottled water don't count toward it. Premier has no daily limit under the 2026 terms.
Not included
Bottles of wine, one-litre water and canned soda aren't covered but come at 25% off. Mini-bar items, souvenir glassware, bottled spirits and anything from the shops are excluded outright, as are wine tastings, buckets of beer and Chef's Table.
Pre-purchase
Buy at least four days (96 hours) before you sail. Onboard, it's sold only on embarkation day and the day after. After that you can't buy it at all.
Cabin purchase rule
Princess's published terms don't require every adult in your stateroom to buy in, unlike Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Norwegian. You can price this for yourself alone, worth confirming when you book.
Find yourself on this list
The Plus package pays for itself at 5.7 alcoholic drinks a day, with the $15 cap already counted. Ignore the cap and it flatters itself to 5.4.
Break-even is the package price with gratuity divided by the average value it actually delivers per drink, so the $15 cap is inside the number rather than assumed away.
How the calculator works
Two totals, honestly compared. What the package really costs once the line has taken its cut, against what your drinks would ring up one at a time.
