The eastern loop is the shorter reach from Florida, which usually means fewer sea days and more calls inside a week. San Juan and Charlotte Amalie anchor it, and San Juan doubles as a homeport for sailings that want to start further east and still reach the smaller islands in seven nights. Grand Turk and Puerto Plata tend to fill the days closer to home.
