The Celebrity Equinox underwent its most recent significant refurbishment in April 2024. This dry dock focused primarily on technical maintenance and a "refresh" of public spaces and staterooms to maintain the ship's premium standing. While it was not as structurally transformative as a full "Revolution" modernization, it ensured that the vessel remains in top condition for its year-round Caribbean and European itineraries. In May 2019, the Equinox received the renovation project known as "Celebrity Revolution." All public spaces and cabins were upgraded during this dry dock. Upgrades include eXhale premium bedding with cashmere mattresses, RFID locks, wifi improvements, and Bluetooth capability. Common area refurbishments were made to the following: adults-only "The Retreat" added with pool, jacuzzi, cabanas, and bar; Luminae Restaurant for suite guests; Qsine Restaurant with "Le Petit Chef" virtual entertainment experience; SEA thermal suite addition to the SPA; new retail shops; and upgrades to the Main Dining Room, Oceanview Cafe and Sunset Bar. The next scheduled ship refurbishment will occur in TBD. The Celebrity Equinox will undergo the Solstice-class modernization program, yet a date has not yet been determined. The major refurbishment will introduce all-new dining concepts such as premium eateries replacing longstanding favorites, reinvented outdoor spaces and lounges that elevate social and relaxation zones, and upgraded accommodations including refreshed staterooms and all-new stateroom categories that echo features found on Celebrity’s newer Edge-class vessels. Major public spaces will be reimagined with updated décor and thoughtful design to enhance guest flow and comfort, while entertainment venues and lounges receive refreshed aesthetics and programming options. In addition to these guest-visible enhancements, the initiative includes substantial technical and systems upgrades to hotel infrastructure, IT, navigation equipment, mechanical components, and environmental systems, ensuring the ships remain competitive, efficient, and compliant as they continue operating globally. This Solstice-class modernization reflects Celebrity’s strategy of revitalizing its core midsize ships with contemporary luxury, premium dining, and cutting-edge amenities that match guest expectations for high-end cruising experiences.
