Celebrity Eclipse, a 2010-built Solstice-class ship, received its latest notable updates during a three-week dry dock in April-May 2025 at the Damen Shipyard in Brest, France. The refurbishment added 10 new inside staterooms by converting public spaces, refreshed carpets, upholstery, and furniture throughout, and enhanced The Retreat suite enclave with a new dedicated lounge on Deck 5 and an exclusive solarium on Deck 16, along with technical maintenance. This followed a more extensive modernization under the "Celebrity Revolution" program in 2021. In April 2021, the Eclipse received the renovation project known as "Celebrity Revolution." All public spaces and cabins were upgraded during this dry dock. Upgrades include eXhale premium bedding with cashmere mattresses, RFID locks, wifi improvements, and Bluetooth capability. Common area refurbishments were made to the following: adults-only "The Retreat" added with pool, jacuzzi, cabanas, and bar; Luminae Restaurant for suite guests; Qsine Restaurant with "Le Petit Chef" virtual entertainment experience; SEA thermal suite addition to the SPA; new retail shops; and upgrades to the Main Dining Room, Oceanview Cafe and Sunset Bar. The next scheduled ship refurbishment will occur in TBD. The Celebrity Eclipse will undergo the Solstice-class modernization program, yet a date has not yet been determined. The major refurbishment will introduce all-new dining concepts such as premium eateries replacing longstanding favorites, reinvented outdoor spaces and lounges that elevate social and relaxation zones, and upgraded accommodations including refreshed staterooms and all-new stateroom categories that echo features found on Celebrity’s newer Edge-class vessels. Major public spaces will be reimagined with updated décor and thoughtful design to enhance guest flow and comfort, while entertainment venues and lounges receive refreshed aesthetics and programming options. In addition to these guest-visible enhancements, the initiative includes substantial technical and systems upgrades to hotel infrastructure, IT, navigation equipment, mechanical components, and environmental systems, ensuring the ships remain competitive, efficient, and compliant as they continue operating globally. This Solstice-class modernization reflects Celebrity’s strategy of revitalizing its core midsize ships with contemporary luxury, premium dining, and cutting-edge amenities that match guest expectations for high-end cruising experiences.
