Renovations included the following: The Carnival Destiny's last refurbishment was in November, 2021. The dry dock took place in Cadiz, Spain. The renovations included mostly routine and technical improvements. Prior to the 2021 drydock, the Carnival Destiny experienced routine maintenance in October, 2018. This took place in Freeport Bahamas. In 2013, the Carnival Destiny was refurbished in a significant way. Enough so, that the ship was renamed to "Carnival Destiny" on the other side of this refurbishment. Prior to that, it was the "Carnival Sunshine." Newly added features included: Guy’s Burger Joint, Blue Iguana Cantina, Alchemy Bar, The Library Bar, Red Frog Rum Bar, The Punchliner Comedy Club, Bonsai Sushi, Pizzeria del Capitano, Havana Bar, Ji Ji Kitchen, JavaBlue Cafe, Shake Spot and SeaDogs. The full renovation cost Carnival $155 Million.
