The Carnival Sunrise received a $200 million conversion in 2019. The ship received a complete overhaul. So drastically were the updates, that the ship even changed its name on the other side. Prior to being named the "Carnival Sunrise," she was called the "Carnival Triumph." During this significant dry dock, the newly-named Sunrise received all of the FunShip 2.0 upgrades, including the folloowing: RedFrog Bar, BlueIguana Tequila Cantina, Guy's Burger Joint, Alchemy Bar, DJ IRIE, Punchliner's Comedy Club, Hasbro Game, EA Sports Bar, Library Bar, Taste Bar, & Carnival Steakhouse. Additionally, the following was added to the Sunrise Seafood Shack. The Sunrise received a cosmetic refresh in early 2024. This included updates to the Liquid Lounge and the RedFrog Pub. It is currently performing at high capacity and is scheduled for a more significant hotel refresh in 2026.
