About this day pass
Board a boat from Nassau for a half-day trip to Rose Island, home to the Bahamas' celebrated swimming pigs. The 30-minute ride delivers guests to an exclusive beach club on an island ringed by clear turquoise water and white sand. The resident pigs wander down to the shoreline on their own, wading through the shallows, accepting snacks, and cooperating for photographs. After the pig encounter, the remainder of the visit is open-ended. A Bahamian lunch is provided, beach chairs are available for lounging, tropical beverages can be ordered from the bar, and snorkeling equipment is on hand for exploring the surrounding reef. The excursion suits cruise ship passengers and other visitors seeking an authentic Bahamian wildlife experience paired with a relaxed beach afternoon. Two departure windows exist: a 9:20 AM EST option with return between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM, or an 11:20 AM EST option with return by 4:15 PM. From the pier, a scenic boat ride reaches Rose Island. The designated meeting spot is at the pier (see pinned location). Pickup is normally by boat, though a brief bus transfer to the main departure dock may substitute when operations require it.
