Eco Zip AdventuresGet your adrenaline pumping on this fun Auckland tour. En route to Waiheke Island for ziplining, take in the sights on the 35-minute ferry ride (not included). The ferry leaves from Auckland Ferry Terminal on Quay Street. Your guide will meet you at the ferry, and from there the tour begins.Before the main attraction, enjoy a mini-tour of the glamorous island's beaches, olive groves, vineyards, and boutique wineries. Stunning properties abound, as this island is a playground of the wealthy.The real adventure will begin with a view from the hillside above, where you can take in the azure blue of Hauraki Gulf, hugged by rugged coastlines, with boats bobbing in the serene waters below.Your guides will set you up with the proper safety gear and then accompany you on a rush of pure excitement, as you soar through the sky on three 200-meter flying fox ziplines, over the lush, green forests of Auckland. Dual cables allow you to race, or simply explore side-by-side with a companion. It's the perfect experience for a thrill-seeker.At the end of the line, you will return to the visitor's center, led by your guides who will take you back through the rainforest on an informative, interpretive tour that highlights the Maori and European history of the Island. At the end of the Auckland ziplining tour, you will either be returned to the ferry terminal, or you can choose to continue exploring the Island further.Make sure to check the weather and dress appropriately; New Zealand's mercurial weather could mean sunshine one minute and rain the next. Sunscreen, a cap (that can fit under helmet), and a jacket are recommended. Ziplining is fun, rain or shine!Please note: In order to participate in the zipline, you must weigh between 66 pounds and 275 pounds. Ziplining is not recommended for anyone who is pregnant or has recently had any spinal, neck, knee, or heart issues. While you can bring a camera or smartphone, it must fit into the pouch attached to your harness or attached to your clothing by a strap. A round trip ferry ride (approximately $26 US, not included) is required to partake in this excursion.
