The cabin was as expected. Emerald princess is a 19-year-old boat so some aspects of it are a little outdated. There are no USB ports currently although they were replacing the lamps in cabins next to us that have USB ports, so that may be something that is in the works for cabin C401. The balcony was bigger than other decks, which was really nice. We were with family who were next to us and we were able to open the doors on the balconies between the cabins. This gave us more space to visit. I did not notice any noise, or at least it wasn’t a problem for us. Every once in a while, you would hear people walking down the hall, but it wasn’t disruptive. Our steward was Rommel and he was attentive, kind, and very helpful.
