Renovations included the following: MSC Magnifica experienced a dry dock effort in March 2021. The ship was stretched by 75 feet (23 meters) during this $160 million dollar refurbishment. Two new restaurants were added as well as a new shopping area and water park. Stateroom renovations include the addition of 215 new cabins, 92 of which are balcony staterooms. The ship had technical renovation work completed as well, including the addition of a shore-power system and Advanced Wastewater Treatment.
