The twin-island nation of St. Kitts-Nevis boasts several fine beaches, but locals know the best is Pinney's Beach in Nevis, only 11 miles across the sea from the capital Basseterre. Tantalizingly close, Nevis can be difficult to reach on your own, so take full advantage of this scenic tour and prepare for a relaxing day. Begin at the Marina next to the cruise port and enjoy beautiful, scenic views on your comfortable power boat ride to Nevis lasting approximately 30-minutes. Enjoy a cold fruit juice or rum punch as you see Nevis peak grow nearer. Before you know it, your captain and mate will be helping you step ashore on Pinney's Beach directly in the middle of this panoramic white, sandy expanse. Once there claim your beach chair, and shared umbrella and settle back for a relaxing day. Utilize your time on Nevis exactly how you wish; swim, sunbathe or perhaps stroll down the beach to view the adjacent Four Seasons Resort or stop in at one of the unique beach bars or restaurants to sample the local, delicious fare. If you like, there's even time to hire a taxi for a look around Nevis away from the beach if that's your desire. Your total time on Nevis is approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes. Your boat will return for you at the designated time and place and pick you up from the beach and whisk you back to the port area. The boat ride portion of the tour is sometimes combined with the companion "Nevis Plantation and Beach Tour", in that case, you will also enjoy a close-up of Charlestown and a cruise past Hamilton House, the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton.
