// what to expect

Board a train that traverses the famous White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad and begin your journey into Canada from beautiful Skagway, Alaska. This excursion will lead you all the way to Fraser, British Columbia while you relax and enjoy the narrated commentary and take in awe-inspiring views around every bend. Once you've arrived at the train depot in Fraser, you will board a waiting coach and continue to the spectacular Yukon Suspension Bridge. Enjoy stunning 360-degree views of the beautiful Canadian landscape and experience the swaying bridge that spans 65 feet over the rapids below. Take some additional time to explore the outdoor museum or visit the cafe and gift shop, before boarding your coach for the return to your ship. Your drive back will feature new views and photo stops along the way. PLEASE NOTE: This tour is operated in reverse order with a bus first departure on certain days of the week. All guests, regardless of age, must purchase a seat and be able to be belted in. Lap children are NOT allowed; each passenger must purchase a full-fare ticket. All guests ages 16 and older are required to present an original passport when crossing the Canadian border; photocopies are not accepted. Guests should also bring any required visas or Permanent Resident Cards in addition to their passports. U.S. and Canadian citizens who are 15 years old or younger may travel with an original certified birth certificate instead of a passport. Birth certificates combined with a driver's license are not permitted for adults. Guests who are unable to present the required documentation at the time of departure will not be able to participate in the tour and will not be eligible for a refund. All minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. If a minor is traveling with someone other than their legal guardian, they must have a notarized letter of consent signed by all legal guardians. Any single adult traveling with a child under 18 must provide either an original death certificate for the non-accompanying parent or a certified letter from the non-accompanying parent stating that the accompanying adult has permission to take the child across the border, that the accompanying adult has authority to make all medical decisions for the child, and providing a daytime telephone number for the non-accompanying parent in case further verification is needed.

// the details
  • An approximately 5 to 15-minute walk, or an approximately 5-minute complimentary shuttle ride, is required to reach your departure location. Full details will be provided in your electronic ticket upon confirmation.
  • For all Alaska tours, we recommend layers of clothing, with the top layer being waterproof. We also suggest comfortable walking shoes that may get wet.
  • This excursion is not recommended for children under 3 years old because of the nature of the experience and the length of time spent on the train. This tour cannot accommodate wheelchairs, motorized scooters, or strollers, and guests must be able to pull themselves up onto and down from both the train and the motorcoach. Please be aware that the tour operates in the wilderness, several hours from medical facilities. Although staff have basic first aid knowledge, the tour is not recommended for guests with serious medical conditions. The tour crosses the Canadian border and then returns to the United States. All guests must bring the required original travel documents, as photocopies are not accepted. All guests ages 16 and older must present an original, valid passport. Guests should also bring any required visas or Permanent Resident Cards along with their passport, although these are not needed for U.S. or Canadian passport holders. U.S. and Canadian children who are 15 and under may travel with an original birth certificate instead of a passport, but birth certificates combined with a driver’s license are not allowed for adults. Any guest who does not have the required documents at the time of departure will not be permitted to participate and will not be eligible for a refund. All minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. If a minor is traveling with someone other than a legal guardian, they must have a notarized letter of consent signed by all legal guardians. A single adult traveling with a child under 18 must provide either an original death certificate for the non-accompanying parent or a notarized letter from the non-accompanying parent granting permission to take the child across the border, authorizing the accompanying adult to make all medical decisions for the child, and providing a daytime phone number where the non-accompanying parent can be reached if needed.
