Mount Irvine Bay Resort stands as Tobago's oldest and most storied property. Guests can unwind along the pristine sands of Mount Irvine Beach while savoring cocktails and a mix of Caribbean and global cuisine at the recently refurbished 1763 Restaurant & Bar. The expansive pool area features a swim-up bar for easy refreshment between dips. Meals are also served at the Sugar Mill Restaurant, constructed around Tobago's largest surviving sugar mill with panoramic views of both the pool deck and the Caribbean Sea. Strolling the manicured grounds reveals heritage structures from the 1700s alongside remnants of the original sugar plantation. Mount Irvine Beach ranks among the island's top snorkeling destinations thanks to easy shore access, and rental equipment including snorkel gear, kayaks, and paddleboards is available directly on the sand.

// about the resort

Transformed from an 18th-century sugar plantation, Mount Irvine Bay Resort operates as a boutique hotel that preserves its colonial-era character through lush tropical gardens, distinctive period decor, and sweeping ocean panoramas. Among its standout features is one of the largest swimming pools on the island, complete with a swim-up bar. Adjacent to the pool sits a restaurant built into an original sugar mill structure with Caribbean Sea vistas. Owned and operated by the same family since opening in 1972, this award-winning property has earned international acclaim as a defining Tobago landmark celebrated for its refined atmosphere and natural beauty.
