You will step into her thoughtfully designed home cooking studio for a private class limited to up to nine guests, creating a relaxed and personalized atmosphere that suits beginners and seasoned home cooks alike. During this experience, you will prepare classic Puerto Rican dishes using traditional techniques. Learn how to make sofrito, the aromatic foundation of many island recipes, and use it to create arroz con habichuelas with Caribbean pumpkin. You will also prepare crispy tostones and discover the rich flavors behind pinon de amarillo y picadillo, a sweet plantain lasagna layered with spiced ground beef. As you cook, Chef Viviana shares stories, tips, and insights into Puerto Rican food culture, turning the class into a lively cultural exchange.
