A day on the town for all your senses with the sights, smells and tastes of San Juan
After meeting your guide at the pier, you will start a walking tour of Old San Juan, where you will get acquainted with a little bit of Puerto Rican history and culture as your guide walks with you through the ancient streets of this charming old city. This portion of your tour will be about two hours of walking with stops. The next part is always the favorite of guests. Puerto Rican food is among the most flavorful in the world, due to its roots in the cooking traditions and practices of Spain, Africa, and the Amerindian Tainos. For the next two hours, you are going to be immersed in a native, hands-on culinary demo and dining experience. You can't come to Puerto Rico and not try our delicious seasonings and learn about our cooking traditions. We have chosen a beautiful location that has a unique colonial atmosphere to give you time to appreciate the real Latin flavors. The staff will welcome you with unique Puerto Rican hors d'oeuvres, and our renowned chef will demonstrate and help you create your native cassava- or plantain-based dish. Become a chef for a day and find out why Puerto Rico is the mecca of gastronomy of the Caribbean; in the end, enjoy the fruits of your delicious creation. You will be delighted with a refreshing rum cocktail during your experience. Additional beverages can be purchased. Meal includes appetizer, mashed cassava or plantains filled with chicken, one rum cocktail, a soft drink, bottled water, dessert, and black coffee upon request. Please note: Guests must be a minimum of 18 years old to consume alcohol. This tour requires a minimum of two guests to operate.

- Old San Juan cruise pier. Guests docked at the Pan American pier will need to hire a taxi (not included) for the 15 minute ride into Old San Juan. (Details will be provided when you book the tour)
- Comfortable clothing and sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes are recommended.
- A minimum age of 8 is recommended on this tour. Guests must be a minimum of 18 years old to consume liquor. The first portion of the tour is walking over cobblestone and paved surfaces, some on inclines.
