Your Rome adventure begins with a convenient pickup from Civitavecchia, setting off towards Vatican City in an intimate small group setting, where your expert guide awaits. With your highly sought-after skip-the-line access, bypass the waiting crowds and step onto the panoramic terrace, where the magnificent dome of Saint Peter's looms above the captivating Vatican Gardens. Discover astonishing collections rich with masterpieces by luminaries such as Bernini, Raphael, and Botticelli. Experience first-hand the legacy of the Vatican's popes, who have, over centuries, enhanced the Vatican's charm with eclectic artworks. Marvel at the striking beauty of ancient Roman statues, immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Tapestry Hall, and get lost in the intricate detail of the Hall of the Painted Maps. The tour's pinnacle is the Sistine Chapel, where Michelangelo's highly acclaimed "Last Judgment" is displayed as an awe-inspiring spectacle. While in the Sistine Chapel, the guide will allow you to enjoy the majestic (and mandatory) silence of this marvelous chapel and use this quiet time for personal reflection. After you visit the Sistine Chapel, you will be escorted back out to the entrance of the museums and then, if time permits, provided with free time and the opportunity to visit Saint Peter's Basilica on your own. Savor the magic of Vatican City's treasures with a tour offering exclusivity, in-depth exploration, and a seamless experience all in the convenient and picturesque locale of Civitavecchia, Italy. Please Note: The direct passage from the Sistine Chapel to St. Peter's Basilica may be restricted due to Vatican crowd-management and security procedures. Visitors wishing to enter the Basilica should plan to exit the Vatican Museums and proceed externally to St. Peter's Square. To visit the Basilica, guests must exit the Vatican Museums and walk approximately 1 km (about 20 minutes) along Viale Vaticano, Via Leone IV, Piazza Risorgimento, Via di Porta Angelica, and into Piazza San Pietro. Entry to the Basilica is available independently with a valid ID, and you may encounter a queue of approximately 15 minutes. Please also note that this tour does not include an interior guided visit of St. Peter's Basilica. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, and walking canes cannot be accommodated. According to official Vatican regulations, it is mandatory that guests with limited mobility and/or disabilities book a private tour with a special itinerary. The Vatican Museums reserve the right to deny entrance to any individual not adhering to their entrance rules and restrictions, and refunds will not be provided should this occur. All guests' full names and passport numbers MUST be provided above in the appropriate field at the time of booking.
