Sea Lion Encounter and Water Park
Interaction with playful sea lions and admission to an outstanding water park including water slides, a lazy river, a dolphin show, and a sea lion show.
After arriving at the Aquaventuras Water Park, check in for your Sea Lion Encounter and Aquaventuras Water Park adventure. Meet the funny sea lions and their curious behaviors, which are sure to make you smile all the way home! During this joyous family program, you will be able to meet and interact with these cute marine mammals. You will start with a briefing about the sea lion and an explanation of the activities you will experience. You will then enter the water on a submerged platform from which you'll be able to interact with the sea lions, including the very popular kiss and hug. You will learn about their diet and get to feed and pet them. Each session is one hour, with 30 minutes of swim time. The group size is limited to 10 people to ensure that you have a very personal experience. Professional photographers will capture these magical moments for you on video and stills, which will be available for sale. The Sea Lion Encounter includes admission to the Aquaventuras Water Park to ensure a fun-filled, action-packed day. Guests not participating in the encounter can gain access to the park by paying the admission fee into the park upon arrival. Please Note: The tour duration is for the dolphin interaction only. It does not include time at the water park, as this is on your own, or the time required to transfer to and from the park. Bring along cash for locker rental, as well as for food and beverage purchases. Shower and restroom facilities are available. The park's hours of operation are 10 AM - 5 PM. Water attractions operate from 11 AM - 5 PM. The opening hours are subject to change without notice. Guests ages 60-79 may participate in all dolphin programs provided they are fully independent, have no medical or mobility limitations, and can swim unassisted. Guests ages 80 and over may participate in the Dolphin Encounter only; other interactive dolphin programs are not permitted.

- An approximately 20 to 30 minute taxi ride (not included, approximately $20 to 30 US each way) is required to reach your departure location.
- We recommend wearing a swimsuit under comfortable clothing and shoes. A towel, sunglasses, and biodegradable sunscreen (for after the sea lion portion) is recommended. Sunblock, jewelry, watches, rings, bracelets, or any object which might scratch the sea lions is not permitted in the water with the sea lions.
- The minimum age to participate is 10 years old, and the minimum height is 4 feet 7 inches. All participants must meet both requirements. Children ages 8 to 12 years must be accompanied by one participating adult (18 years or older) per child. Guests ages 60–79 may participate in all dolphin programs provided they are fully independent, have no medical or mobility limitations, and can swim unassisted. Guests ages 80 and over may participate in the Dolphin Encounter only; other interactive dolphin programs are not permitted. Pregnant women may not participate in this tour for safety reasons. Each person is required to wear a life jacket. Sunblock, jewelry, watches, rings, bracelets, or any object that might scratch the sea lions is not permitted in the water with the sea lions. The instructors have the final say on what can and cannot be worn in the water with the sea lions. For security reasons, personal cameras are not allowed in the water or in the program area. A professional photographer will be on hand to take pictures, which will be available for purchase.
Excursion purchases are fully refundable outside of 14 days prior to the tour date. Beginning on the 14th day prior to the tour date, excursion purchases are non-refundable.
