Begin your day of fun in the Yucatan by meeting your local, knowledgeable tour guide just minutes from the cruise ship pier. You'll board your group transport for a scenic drive through the countryside on your way to the Cenote Natural Reserve. Along the way, your guide will be sure to share information about the history, geography, and ecology of the region. Once you've arrived, you'll travel by motorboat across a lagoon and take a path through the mangroves to reach the cenotes, or water-filled limestone sinkholes. Feel free to take a refreshing swim in one, two, or all three of the pristine, tranquil cenotes. The ancient Maya believed the cenotes were scared and maintained healthy powers, and you'll be sure to appreciate their serenity. Next, make your way to a private, beach-front club, where you'll be able to enjoy a variety of classic beach activities. A swimming pool, lounge chairs, umbrellas, and showers are all included, and traditional Mexican food, drinks, and other offerings are available for purchase. Finally, you'll wrap up your tour with a stop at an authentic, Mexican-style open market. There, you'll be able to purchase food, crafts, and the perfect souvenir to commemorate your amazing experience.
