Taxis are readily available at the cruise ship terminal, and Hotel Riu Palace Aruba is roughly a 15-minute drive from the pier, with fares running approximately $15 per direction. Even though the port is relatively close, guests should plan to leave the resort no later than 2 hours before the ship's scheduled departure.
- This day pass is available exclusively to cruise ship passengers, and a cruise line-issued ID must be shown at check-in. Guests who cannot present this ID upon arrival will be turned away. After completing the online purchase, passes are emailed the same day. Availability at RIU Palace Aruba is highly limited, so early booking is advised. Key tips: The remaining balance at check-in must be paid by credit card; cash and American Express are not accepted. A valid photo ID and a printed day pass are required and will be held at the front desk until departure. Dry clothing is mandatory in the indoor buffet restaurant; bathing suits and wet attire are not allowed. Electronic day passes are not accepted and will slow down the check-in process. Further instructions and details will be printed on the pass itself.
