Private Arouca Geopark, Granite Villages & 516 Bridge Tour
Discover Arouca Geopark on a private full-day tour from Porto designed for travelers who want mountain panoramas, geology, traditional villages and the 516 Arouca Bridge without a long hike. With a licensed driver-guide, begin high in Serra da Freita at Frecha da Mizarela, mainland Portugal’s highest waterfall, then visit the Pedras Parideiras interpretation centre and Detrelo da Malhada viewpoint for a clear reading of the geopark’s scale. Continue through traditional villages such as Janarde and Meitriz before descending to Areinho for a short Paiva riverside walk and the unforgettable 516 Arouca suspension bridge crossing. After flexible lunch time in Alvarenga, finish with the calm heritage of Santa Maria de Arouca Monastery and an optional local pastry stop. A private, scenic and well-paced Arouca day for travelers who want nature, culture and comfort.
