The recently renovated Riu Palace is an adults-only property on Cabbage Beach, roughly 15 minutes from the Nassau cruise pier. Facilities include two swimming pools — one featuring an infinity-edge swim-up bar — along with a hot and cold buffet and a poolside barbecue station.
Taxis are readily available at the cruise ship terminal. The resort sits about 15 minutes by car from the cruise pier, with fares starting at approximately $15 total for two passengers and $3 per additional guest. Despite the short distance, departing the resort at least 2 hours ahead of the ship's scheduled departure time is strongly advised.
- Purchasing a day pass is straightforward: complete the online order and passes arrive by email the same day. Print the passes and bring them on the trip, as they are required at resort check-in. Day passes can be bought up to one day before arrival in port, though availability at RIU Palace Paradise Island is quite limited — early booking is strongly encouraged. A valid photo ID and printed day pass must be surrendered at the front desk upon check-in and are held there until departure back to the cruise pier.
