Seanette is a warm and welcoming host with a deep passion for food, hospitality, and sharing her culture through cuisine. Born and raised in Nassau, she studied culinary arts at Johnson & Wales before working as a chef in Atlanta and spending 19 years at a five-star resort. Whether hosting intimate family dinners or backyard weddings, Seanette finds joy in creating delicious experiences that leave guests smiling.

Cooking Class Description:

Choose the optional transfers add-on and get picked up from your hotel and begin your private Bahamian cooking class in Nassau with a warm welcome at your host Seanette’s home, where you’ll be greeted with a refreshing cocktail and a delicious bite. Seanette will introduce you to Bahamian cuisine, the menu of the day, and the rich history behind the dishes you’ll be preparing. Then, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class in her kitchen where you’ll learn to craft three authentic Bahamian dishes. You'll learn how Seanette seasons and spices each dish using local ingredients, bringing out the utmost flavor every step of the way.

The cooking portion lasts about 1.5 hours before you gather around the table to enjoy the delicious meal you helped create, sharing laughter and conversation with your host. To finish on a sweet note, enjoy a traditional Bahamian dessert prepared in advance due to its longer cooking time. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Bahamian food, culture, and culinary traditions in a warm and welcoming setting.

Seanette can accommodate vegans, vegetarians, lactose-free, and gluten-free diets, so please include any dietary restrictions when making your booking.
