Leaving from the cruise ship terminal in Naples, you will meet your private driver and begin your journey to discover the highlights of Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast, and Pompeii. A licensed professional guide will join you for the guided visit inside Pompeii. Your first stop is Sorrento, one of the jewels of the Amalfi Coast. Admire breathtaking views of olive groves, vineyards, and fragrant lemon and grapefruit trees that blanket the surrounding hillsides. Visit a local limoncello producer, where you'll have the opportunity to sample the region's famous lemon liqueur and browse locally made specialties. Perched on a tuffaceous terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples, Sorrento has long captivated visitors with its spectacular scenery, rich history, and charming atmosphere. According to legend, the town's name derives from the mythical Sirens, whose enchanting songs lured sailors toward the rocky coastline. Continue along one of Italy's most scenic coastal roads toward Positano. Enjoy panoramic views of the colorful cliffside village, where pastel houses cascade down the mountainside toward the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. A visit to Positano is not included. This stop is at a scenic viewpoint for photographs only, allowing you to admire one of the Amalfi Coast's most iconic vistas before continuing your journey. From there, travel to Pompeii, the world-famous archaeological site and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Buried beneath volcanic ash following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, Pompeii offers an extraordinary glimpse into daily life during the Roman Empire. Upon arrival, you'll meet your licensed professional guide for a walking tour through the remarkably preserved ruins, exploring ancient streets, homes, temples, and public buildings while learning about the city's fascinating history. After the guided visit, enjoy some free time to browse local shops before returning to your vehicle. At the conclusion of your excursion, your driver will return you comfortably to the Naples cruise terminal in time for your ship's departure. Please Note: Vehicles used for this tour accommodate a maximum of 8 guests. This excursion includes a private driver throughout the day. A licensed professional guide is provided for the guided visit inside Pompeii only. The Pompeii entrance fee (approximately 24 EUR per person) is not included. Your driver will collect the entrance fee during the drive to Pompeii and provide your ticket upon arrival. All guests must present a valid photo ID or passport for entry. Guests aged 18 and under receive complimentary admission with valid identification. On national holidays and the first Sunday of every month, extended queues are common, and the order of the itinerary may be adjusted to provide the best possible experience.
