The adventure begins with a scenic motorcoach tour to a secluded mountain lake. Part of a lush rainforest, the lake is ideal for canoeing, and is surrounded by the Tongass National Forest, the largest National Forest in the United States. Your knowledgeable tour guide will lead a short nature walk, highlighting the flora and fauna of the rainforest in Ketchikan, including a carnivorous plant called the sundew. - For all Alaska tours, we recommend layers of clothing, with the top layer being water-proof. We also suggest comfortable walking shoes that may get wet.
- This tour is not wheelchair accessible. Children need to be at least 5 years old, and weigh at least 40 pounds to attend the tour. Children 12 and under to be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 13 to 17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate in the absence of a parent or guardian. No prior experience is necessary.
