Mountain trails through a timber harvested area offer the perfect venue for off-road challenges. Learn about the history, culture and economy of Ketchikan as you are transported by motor coach to this rainforest wilderness. Experience the rugged Alaskan wilderness from the driver's seat of a specially designed off-road adventure kart on this Ketchikan port trip. At the Adventure Kart expedition base camp, you will receive a safety briefing as you gear up in preparation for the exciting, 1.5 hour guided trek. Your caravan of karts sets out to explore the remote backcountry along several miles of improved forest trail, with your guide in the lead ATV. Feel the rush of adrenaline at the start of your journey as you navigate an obstacle course in a custom designed Polaris RZR 1000 that tests your ability to traverse through the remaining wilderness. A comfortable pace is maintained as you thread your way around steep curves, climbing to reveal unparalleled views of the Tongass National Forest, Behm Canal and Alaska's fabled Inside Passage. Stops are made along the Ketchikan excursion way to soak up the grandeur and beauty of this lush land. Afterwards, drivers and passengers will have the opportunity to switch positions for the return trip. Keep a lookout for wildlife along the route. Please Note: All Adventure Karts on this tour are 4-seater RZRs, with a minimum of two guests per vehicle and a maximum of four. Groups of four where all participants are 18 or older and wish to drive will be assigned two vehicles, with opportunities to switch drivers at designated lookout points. Alternatively, they may choose to ride together in one vehicle but will not have individual karts. The child ticket is listed for ages 0 to 12, but children grow at different rates, so age alone does not determine eligibility. There is currently no minimum age. All participants, including children riding as passengers, must be at least 57 inches tall and weigh between 40 and 300 pounds. The height requirement is strictly enforced.

- On all tours in Alaska, we recommend wearing layers for the changing weather and temperature. Sensible walking shoes that may get wet or dirty are also suggested. Rain gear and a helmet are provided for use on the tour.
- Drivers must present a valid driver's license. The child ticket is listed for ages 0–12, but there is no minimum age to participate. Because children grow at different rates, age alone does not determine eligibility. All participants, including children riding as passengers, must be at least 57 inches tall and weigh between 40 and 300 pounds. The height requirement is strictly enforced. All Adventure Karts used on this tour are 4-seater RZRs, with a minimum of two guests per vehicle. This tour is not recommended for guests with neck or back problems, or expectant mothers. A liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.
Excursion purchases are fully refundable outside of 14 days prior to the tour date. Beginning on the 14th day prior to the tour date, excursion purchases are non-refundable.
