Wine Tour with Metropolis Ancient City
Combine automotive heritage, archaeology, and regional wine on a distinctive day tour from İzmir. Begin at the Key Museum, home to an impressive private collection of classic cars and motorcycles dating from 1890 to 2015. Continue to Metropolis, an ancient city set among the hills between İzmir and Ephesus. Explore its layered architectural remains, including the Agora, well-preserved Roman baths, and the visible heating system that once served the complex. From the acropolis, admire wide views across the surrounding countryside while learning how the city prospered through trade, agriculture, and wine production. Complete the experience with a guided tasting of regional wines, accompanied by cheese, grissini, water, and a hot drink. The tasting selection may include Consensus, La Passito, Sangiovese, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. A minimum of two participants is required.
