Legend has it Dia was a giant lizard that the Greek god Zeus turned into an island to prevent it from attacking Crete. Check out Dia for yourself as you swim, snorkel, and fish in its tranquil waters. You will hop aboard a boat for a relaxing ride across the water to Dia. Your and your small group will stop at the beautiful bay of Saint George, a quaint, ancient Minoan port overlooking Heraklion. Swim in the clear, turquoise waters and strap on your snorkeling mask to explore the magical undersea world below. During the 1970s, explorer Jacques Cousteau and his team discovered an underwater ancient port just off Dia's shores, so you never know what you might see! Grab a fishing rod and try your hand at catching a local fish or simply settle back in the sand and bask in the warmth of the sun's rays on your face. - We recommend wearing your swimsuit under comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and walking shoes. Guests should bring a towel, a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
- All guests are required to bring a photo ID or passport, either printed or in electronic form. A photo of your passport on your phone is acceptable. Guests must be able to step in and out of the vehicle and boat. Children under 12 must be in a life jacket. Guests must be 8 years of age or older to participate and must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must be 21 years old to consume alcohol. Pregnant women are prohibited from snorkeling. This tour is NOT wheelchair accessible.
