Private Mountain Safari
This exciting, half-day off-road excursion is the best way to experience the diverse wilderness of Madeira. Canvass the island from the seashore to the mountaintop!
Climb into a Land Rover and get ready to explore the amazing terrain of the volcanic island of Madeira, a 4-island archipelago situated just off Africa's northwest coast. Your local, expert guide will take you along Madeira's rugged coastline with its high cliffs as well as twisty routes high up into the mountains for breathtaking panoramic views. Along the way, you will pass by quaint villages dressed in vineyards, orchards, and thatched-roof houses. From the parishes of Estreito Camara de Lobos to lush valleys dotted with Jardim da Serra and other hamlets, there is something to discover at every turn! At the center of the island is Nuns Valley, a small, isolated village ringed by mountains that provides a refuge for locals in times of sieges and is still inhabited today. You will also visit Eucalyptus Park to see the flora and fauna. At the end of your journey, you will visit a typical fishing village named Camara de Lobos. This was a favorite spot for Sir Winston Churchill, where he would paint the beautiful views of the ocean from the bay, as well as the colorful houses. This exclusive, private tour is a must-do for nature lovers and photographers! Reserve your spot today and bring your camera to capture the stunning, exotic landscape of Madeira.
