This mosque is the largest in the emirate and the fourth largest in the world. Following this brief photo stop, you'll continue to another incredible sight, Emirates Palace. This 5-star luxury hotel is used to host the government's guests and features over 390 rooms as well as several private beaches and gardens; nearby is the President's Palace, which you'll also get to see up close. Your trip takes a more natural turn with a visit to the local corniche, a gorgeous waterfront that will leave you mesmerized. After that stop and a trip to Yas Mall, you'll experience Arab life firsthand at Heritage Village. This recreation of a traditional Arab community will make you feel as if you've traveled in time. - Comfortable lightweight summer clothing and walking shoes is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses are advised, and photo-chromatic lenses for those who wear spectacles. Hats and some protection for the head are advisable when in direct sunlight. To enter the mosque area, guests must wear loose long trousers or long skirts and long sleeves. Shorts and tight and/or transparent clothing is prohibited. Women must cover their head with a scarf. The United Arab Emirates has conservative dress traditions during the Ramadan month. If you are traveling during Ramadan month, swimwear must be confined to the beach and hotel pools. Men and women should ensure shoulders and knees are covered when in public, especially in souks, shops, malls, and villages.
- Participants must be able to get in and out of a vehicle. This tour is wheelchair accessible. Normal tourist photography is acceptable, but it is considered offensive to photograph Arab women. It is also courteous to ask permission before photographing men. Photographs of government buildings, police, or military installations are not allowed. Children ages 2 and younger may attend the tour free of charge, provided that they do not occupy their own seat.
