Occidental Cozumel Beach Resort is an all-inclusive property ideal for guests who want a quiet escape from cruise ship crowds on one of the island's finest stretches of sand. Two on-site pools offer an alternative to the beach. The day pass covers an international lunch buffet, snacks, and unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Active visitors can take advantage of included sports, kayaking, sailing, and additional pursuits. Note: Beach erosion has occurred since the property's photos were taken. The beachfront directly in front of the pool now accommodates roughly one row of loungers, with additional beach space and seating available to the side of the pool.

Overlooking the Mexican Caribbean, Occidental Cozumel Beach Resort occupies a lush tropical mangrove setting with manicured gardens and a rich Caribbean landscape. Facilities include 2 pools, a gym, a sauna, and 2 tennis courts.
Transportation is not included with the day pass. Taxis are available at the cruise pier and at the resort for the return trip. Allow a minimum of 2 hours before the ship sails to begin heading back. Estimated taxi fares for 1-4 passengers: From Punta Langosta — about 20 minutes, around US $16. From International Pier — about 8-10 minutes, around US $16. From Puerta Maya — about 8-10 minutes, around US $18.
- After purchasing online, day pass confirmations are emailed the same day. Passes can be bought up to one day before arriving in port, but Occidental Cozumel Beach Resort has very limited spots, so early booking is advised. Important details: Any remaining balance at check-in must be paid with U.S. cash (preferred) or a Mastercard, Visa, or American Express credit card (Discover is not accepted). Electronic day passes are not honored and will slow the check-in process. The printed pass provides further instructions and helpful resort information.
