Your adventure kicks off as you jump into your Jeep, ready for an exhilarating ride through winding roads, dense forests, and vibrant vegetation en route to an ancient Mayan city. This area, dating back to 800 A.D., was once the Mayan capital and the largest community on the island. Learn about the town's history and Mayan culture while gazing in wonder at the ruins. Next proceed to the Caverns to take a cooling plunge in the crystal-clear cenote, or natural sinkhole, within the cave. The journey continues in the Jeep for additional off-road exploration, stopping at a well-known tequila seminar along the way to sample a variety of tequila tastes while acquiring knowledge of the distilling process. - An approximately 5 to 10-minute walk, or an approximately 12-minute taxi ride (not included; approximately $12 US each way), is required to reach your departure location. Full details will be provided in your electronic ticket upon confirmation.
- We recommend wearing comfortable clothing over your swimsuit and walking shoes. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and beach towel are also suggested.
- Drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver's license when accompanied with an adult aged 18 years or over (Photo ID will be required). This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back problems. This tour is not wheelchair accessible. Children 2 years old and under can participate on the tour free of charge. A National Park Fee of $10 US per person is payable in cash upon arrival.
