- Walking difficulty: Moderate. To reach the beach, a 20–30 min downhill walk (and return uphill later) is required. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended.

- Snacks & water – we provide bottled water, but you may want extras for the hike.
- By car (SUV only) via a 9 km dirt road from Kaliviani + 20–30 min downhill walk.
- No beach facilities: There are no sunbeds, cafes, or restrooms at the lagoon. We provide umbrellas and bottled water for your comfort.
- Environmental protection zone: Balos is part of the NATURA 2000 network.
- Littering, collecting shells, or damaging the natural environment is strictly prohibited.
- Weather matters: Strong winds are frequent. On very windy days, the visit might be adjusted for safety.
