About this excursion
Explore the Costa Brava on a day trip from Barcelona. Visit Peratallada and Pals, then enjoy lunch and free time by the sea in Calella de Palafrugell.
Travel from Barcelona to the Costa Brava, discover a different side of Catalonia, and admire medieval villages and coastal landscapes. Your first stop is Peratallada, one of the most authentic and best-preserved medieval villages in the region. With your guide, you’ll walk through narrow stone streets, quiet squares, and archways that reflect centuries of history.
Continue to Pals, a hilltop village known for its historic character and open views over the surrounding countryside. As you explore its cobbled streets and well-preserved buildings, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the area’s past and its role in the region. From the upper points of the village, you’ll be able to take in wide views that stretch toward the coast.
The day continues to Calella de Palafrugell, a traditional fishing village set along the Mediterranean. Here, whitewashed houses, small coves, and boats resting along the shore create one of the most recognizable coastal settings in the Costa Brava. You’ll have time to enjoy lunch and explore at your own pace.
You may choose to walk along the seafront, follow part of the coastal path, or simply relax by the water and take in the surroundings. For those interested, there may also be time for a swim, depending on the season.
At the end of the visit, you’ll return to Barcelona by private vehicle, with a drop-off at your hotel.
