Half Day Tour in Acropolis and Acropolis Museum
The Acropolis is more than a hill with the Parthenon on top. It was a cultural, healing and above all, religious center. In the middle ages, a place of pilgrimage to Virgin Mary, in the ottoman times, a muslim neighbourhood with a magnificent Mosque. A place of resistance in the Greek revolution of 1821 against the Ottoman Turks, and the Nazis in WWII. The Acropolis of Athens is by far the most famous archaeological site in Greece. The whole history of Greece is written on this sacred hill. "Unearth" all the info with the help of a greek licensed tour guide/archaeologist by your side. We usually say that ancient Greece is the cradle of western civilization. The Parthenon, the famous temple of Athena, is the epitome of this miracle.
