This Privacy Policy explains how Gangwaze, Inc. (“Gangwaze,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Cruise Quest mobile application and the website at gangwaze.com (together, the “Service”).
1. Who we are
Gangwaze, Inc. is a Delaware corporation with its mailing address at 18281 FM150 W #1011, Driftwood, TX 78619. For privacy questions, contact us at hello@gangwaze.com.
2. Who can use the Service
The Service is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide
- Account information: email address, display name, avatar image
- Profile information: cruise line, ship, sail date, and other cruise selections you make
- User Content: photos you upload (of ship venues, ports, bar visits, and other cruise content), and any captions, descriptions, or other content you contribute
- Communications: messages you send to us (e.g. by emailing hello@gangwaze.com)
3.2 Information we collect automatically
- Device and usage data: device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, language, time zone
- Gameplay data: Bar Bingo progress, points totals, game completion times, leaderboard standings
- Diagnostic data: crash reports and performance metrics
- Product analytics: interactions with screens and features (e.g. button taps, screens viewed)
3.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect precise geolocation. We do not collect your contacts, calendar, microphone audio, or health data.
4. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Create and manage your account, and authenticate you using one-time email codes
- Enable game features, including Bar Bingo, photo journals, points, and leaderboards
- Display your User Content and identify you to other users (e.g. on leaderboards by display name and avatar)
- Use, display, distribute, and otherwise exploit your User Content as described in our Terms of Use, including across the Cruise Quest app, gangwaze.com, and Gangwaze’s social media channels
- Diagnose technical problems, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the Service
- Communicate with you about your account, security, and Service changes (transactional messages)
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
5. Service providers we use
We share information with the following third-party providers who process information on our behalf. Each is bound by contract to use information only as we direct.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertising networks or data brokers.
6. How we share information
6.1 With other users
Your display name, avatar, and gameplay results (such as Bar Bingo completion times and points) are visible on leaderboards and other social features of the Service. Your User Content (photos) may be visible to other users where the Service displays such content.
6.2 With our service providers
As described in Section 5.
6.3 For legal reasons
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud or violations of our Terms of Use.
6.4 In connection with a business transaction
If Gangwaze is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
7. Data retention
We retain your active account information and User Content for as long as your account is open.
When you delete your account, we permanently delete identifiable information within 30 days, except that we may retain:
- Anonymized and aggregated data (such as gameplay statistics with no personal identifiers) indefinitely for analytics, research, and Service improvement
- Information we are required to retain to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements
- Information held in routine backups, which is overwritten on our standard backup retention schedule
User Content that has been published to gangwaze.com or Gangwaze’s social media channels prior to your account deletion may remain on those channels in accordance with the license you granted in our Terms of Use.
8. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest where supported by our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International users and data transfers
Gangwaze is based in the United States. Your information is processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the legal bases on which we process your personal data are: (a) performance of a contract with you (to provide the Service); (b) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, securing it against fraud, and conducting analytics; (c) compliance with legal obligations; and (d) your consent where required.
10. Your rights and choices
10.1 Account controls
You can update your profile, change your email, or delete your account at any time from within the app’s Settings. You can also email hello@gangwaze.com.
10.2 EU/UK/Swiss residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; data portability; withdraw consent (where consent is the legal basis); and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10.3 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell or share; delete your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@gangwaze.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law.
10.4 Push notifications and email
You can disable push notifications in your device’s settings. You will continue to receive transactional emails (account, security, OTP codes) for as long as you have an account.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
The Cruise Quest mobile app does not use browser cookies. The gangwaze.com website may use cookies and similar technologies; if so, those uses will be described in a separate cookie notice on that site.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by in-app notice or email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
