After passing through Canadian customs, you will take a short walk along a winding, rocky alpine trail to the shores of beautiful Summit Lake, where you will be outfitted with boots, life jackets, and given a safety briefing and paddling instruction. Board one of the large, 12-person voyageur canoes similar to the ones used by Gold Rush era trappers and prospectors, then push off from the shoreline and take to the the narrow channels, cutting through snow capped glacier peaks. You will also have the opportunity to disembark and walk around secluded shores bordering the beautiful aquamarine waters. Bring your camera and enjoy exploring the lake, with its background of rocky coves and inlets, knowing that your canoes are outfitted with small, outboard motors to assist you if the winds pick up or guests get tired.
