Canopy Zip Line and Banana PlantationHere's a Costa Rican combo tour unlike any other, with a canopy zip line view of the jungle, and then a view of what the Costa Rican people do better than almost anyone else on the planet.After departing from the cruise pier, you will drive to the rainforest where your adventure begins. The zip line tour begins with an orientation from your guide, where the rules and regulations for safety and security are explained thoroughly. After your orientaiton, you will head to the first platform.Glide through the treetops with this exhilarating adventure: 9 cables and 12 platforms stretched across the length of the rain forest. The longest cable is 270 meters long, and you will experience heights up to 80 meters. Here you can enjoy the gripping thrill of the wind in your face as you soar through the rain forest witnessing some of the most spectacular views.The platforms are arranged at different heights and levels of excitement. Up to platform 5, all cables are of similar length, however after this platform, the cables become even more thrilling. At platforms 5 and 7, those who would like to return to the lodge may do so. For the adventurous and those who enjoy the thrill, its go, go, go, all the way to platform 12.After your exciting zip line tour, you will visit a banana plantation, where you will hear many interesting facts about this amazing fruit and its harvesting, processing, packing, and exportation. Costa Rica is the second-largest banana producer in the world; 80% of the plantations are located in Limon province, making it one of the most important economic activities in the region. All in all, it's a truly interesting cultural experience that you can't miss.Please Note: The packing house and working areas at the banana plantation are restricted areas, and will not be visited during the tour. This tour takes place in a rainforest. During the rainy season (usually from September to November), please bring a raincoat. This tour operates rain or shine.
