The trail takes you through a tour of Ketchikan's beautiful old-growth forest, by way of a secluded beach, and is mostly boardwalk, about one-mile in length and well maintained. Home to a diverse cross-section of animals including bears, eagles, salmon, sandhill cranes, wolves, and trumpeter swans, you will learn about the many amazing botanical species native to this region.Follow your knowledgeable tour guide through this rainforest island adventure and learn about botanic species native to this region, such as western red cedar and yellow cedar that early natives were so dependent upon for spiritual enrichment, shelter, and transportation.
