White Water Rafting Cruise Excursion in FalmouthIf you're up for a wild white-water rafting excursion, we can promise that the river will be up for you! After meeting your driver on the pier, you make your way to the river, approximately 25-minutes away. After instructions from your guide, you and the rest of your co-captains board your raft and enter the fast-flowing water. With your tour guide steering the raft from the rear, you use teamwork to paddle through the twists and turns of rushing whitewater rapids. The river rapids are rated class 1 and class 2 (easy to moderate) and the river flow is rated class 3 (swiftly moving water). Recent weather conditions can affect the river flow and level. Average time on the river is 90-minutes.As you enter the deeper sections of the river on this Falmouth excursion, you can jump into the refreshing water for a chance to swim and admire the natural beauty of your surroundings. The river currents carry your raft over one final cascade as you pass under an old colonial stone bridge and head towards the Caribbean Sea, where your raft ride will end. After reaching the Caribbean, your guide will lead you to the private beach where you will have approximately 30-minutes of free time to swim, sun or purchase a refreshment from the beach bar. Before returning to your ship we stop at Columbus Open Air Museum where there is Scotchies Restaurant, where you can purchase some local authentic Jamaican food.
