Historic City and Rum Factory

We meet you at the port. A slow drive thru the city, see the Belizean way of life and the guide shares historic and current events that shape Belize. Visit the rum factory and sample the local rum. British Honduras started, first by Pirates, then Mahagony loggers and slaves, relics of their time include colonial mansions, Mahagony chips and old rum bottles. on a slow sightseeing drive, Hear stories of the memorial tomb and lighthouse of our benefactor, the colonial houses, the memorial park, banks, churches, clinics, pharmacy, hospitals, schools and businesses. See the houses, flowering plants, birds and people. Stops along the route for photos and visit the RUM Factory and Old Rum Museum. You get ample time to buy from the Tasting bar and from the Rum Gift Shop, then the drive continues thru the older part of town and then return to the port.
