Description
Your adventure begins at Port Zante, where you will make your way through the historic capital city of Basseterre where the wow factor begins. On an open-air safari, Historic Basseterre comes to life as you are guided through the main attractions of the city.As you cruise through Basseterre, you will see the National Museum, Berkley Memorial, Independence Square, the Catholic church, and St. George's Anglican Church. As you head westward, you will see the War Memorial. In the War Memorial, you will see three tombs. Each one is constructed from the stone of one of the three islands-St. Kitts, Nevis, and Anguilla. Every November, military forces and various religious denominations gather at the memorial to remember Kittitians, Nevisians, and Anguillans who died in service during the two world wars. From that point you will head over to the Government House of St. Kitts. Following this, you will head back towards the city where your tour guide will take you on a route where you will be able to see the old Sugar Factory ruins. Lunch is included with a choice of surf or turf as well as many different side dishes.Moving along your journey, you will take a picturesque drive to Timothy Hill, which will provide you with a panoramic view of the South East peninsula stretching out towards the sister island, Nevis. The Peninsula is a narrow strip of land that divides two bodies of water: the Atlantic to the left and the Caribbean to the right. To finalize your journey, stop at the soothing Friars Bay Beach where you can walk on the golden sand and dip your toes in the Caribbean waters. You will soon understand why for many years Friars Bay has been the most popular beach for locals.Category
