Puerto Limon is located on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, in the province of Limon. It is situated on the east side of the country, about 80 miles east of the capital city of San Jose. The port is located on the Caribbean Sea, just south of the mouth of the Reventazon River. It is a major port for both cargo and cruise ships, and is the main port of entry for the Caribbean region of Costa Rica.
