Our steward Allen was wonderful. We had everything we needed. Great views on the balcony.
Cabin E226 is a mini suite, the extra space is nice, the sofa in mini suites are uncomfortable to sit or relax on, there is no back or lumbar support. The balcony is small and has 2 chairs and a small side table. It worked fine for two of us. There is NOT a roof over the balcony, keep that in mind for cold or rainy Alaska itineraries. No balcony obstruction directly in front or below, only if you looked to the left you would see the front of a life boat. The princess bed is firm but the linens and duvet were comfortable. During the 2 evening shows in the Princess theater you can hear a vibration but it wasn't enough to bother us. If you go to bed early or are sensitive to noise just be aware. I really like the separation of the closet - dressing area. Plenty of storage space between hangers and the shelving. The bathroom has a tub with a handheld shower. Water pressure was light but adequate. The mini suite has 2 tv's and it worked perfectly for my husband to watch football and me to watch tv in bed at the same time. The refrigerator is cool, not cold even on the highest setting. There was an included hair dryer in the top drawer of the desk, it's very basic. I am highly sensitive to motion and the ship handled the seas perfectly, no motion sickness at all for either of us. Overall it was a good cabin for us, just wish cruise lines offered more comfortable in cabin seating to relax after a long day of activities and excursions.
Review of Our Mini‑Suite on Princess The room has an excellent view and a very convenient location, which we appreciated throughout the cruise. However, the interior feels a bit tired, especially the pull‑out couch, which has clearly seen better days. We would have preferred a walk‑in shower instead of the tub/shower combination, as it would be more comfortable and accessible. The provided shampoo and body wash were also not great quality and could be improved. Overall, the room worked for our needs, but a few updates would make a noticeable difference in comfort.
