Cabin E209 Reviews
Cabin E226 is a mini suite, the extra space is nice, the sofa in mini suites are uncomfortable to sit or relax on, there is no back or lumbar support. The balcony is small and has 2 chairs and a small side table. It worked fine for two of us. There is NOT a roof over the balcony, keep that in mind for cold or rainy Alaska itineraries. No balcony obstruction directly in front or below, only if you looked to the left you would see the front of a life boat. The princess bed is firm but the linens and duvet were comfortable. During the 2 evening shows in the Princess theater you can hear a vibration but it wasn't enough to bother us. If you go to bed early or are sensitive to noise just be aware. I really like the separation of the closet - dressing area. Plenty of storage space between hangers and the shelving. The bathroom has a tub with a handheld shower. Water pressure was light but adequate. The mini suite has 2 tv's and it worked perfectly for my husband to watch football and me to watch tv in bed at the same time. The refrigerator is cool, not cold even on the highest setting. There was an included hair dryer in the top drawer of the desk, it's very basic. I am highly sensitive to motion and the ship handled the seas perfectly, no motion sickness at all for either of us. Overall it was a good cabin for us, just wish cruise lines offered more comfortable in cabin seating to relax after a long day of activities and excursions.
We just got off discovery M402 15th deck starting at 6 in the morning crashing noises, banging, carts rolling, thumping and banging! The room is right under the buffet pantry. Got very little good sleep and it really impacted our vacation, was very unfortunate!
It was quite spacious and met our needs. The location was convenient to the elevators and being on the 11th deck placed is just about midpoint for all decks.
Mini suite M105 on Sky Princess is a well laid out, spacious cabin with a huge balcony. But I am afraid that is where the plus points end! During port days it does attract scenic views and sunshine, but when the ship sails things, literally, go bump in the night. Not just noise from wind and rain but loud, and frequent, bangs when the keel hits the waves. It is also a long haul to the restaurants and lounges - no good for anyone with walking difficulties. We have been on Sky Princess five times and were allocated this cabin - we certainly would not choose it again.
