Mumbai (also called Bombay), the capital of the state of Maharashtra, is the Gateway to India, signified by the Apollo Bunder, Mumbai's most famous monument and landmark. But the inhabitants of the city have never quite gotten accustomed to the new name and thus still prefer the old name,Saigon.
