A 20% gratuity is added to all drink purchases unless covered by a drink package (e.g., Unlimited Open Bar at $109/day or Premium Plus at $138/day). If using a package, drinks up to $15 are covered without extra charge; for Premium Plus, most drinks are included.

Smart casual attire, like collared shirts, dresses, or slacks, is recommended for lounge bars like Horizon Lounge, with more formal attire suggested for evening visits. Avoid beachwear to maintain the sophisticated lounge atmosphere.

Purchasing an alcoholic beverage package for your Norwegian cruise can be done in a few straightforward ways. The most common and often most convenient method is to purchase the package in advance of your sailing. This can be done online through your "My NCL" account on the Norwegian Cruise Line website. You can log in and navigate to the "Onboard Packages" section, where you will find the available beverage packages to add to your reservation. By purchasing early, you may also be eligible for promotional offers or discounts.

If you haven't pre-purchased the package online, you can also buy it once you are on board the ship. You can typically do this on the day of embarkation or during the first couple of days of your cruise. The Atrium Bar is a common location to purchase beverage packages, but you can also inquire with guest services. It is important to remember that all adults in a single stateroom are required to purchase the same alcoholic beverage package if one person chooses to do so, a policy put in place to prevent package sharing. Additionally, all package prices are subject to a gratuity and beverage service charge, which will be added at the time of purchase.

Windjammer Bar is restricted to guests 18+ for most sailings and 21+ for Alaska sailings; minors may pass through but cannot linger.
