MS Nieuw Statendam is a Pinnacle Class-class ship launched in 2018 and the #1 ship in the Holland America fleet by size, with 12 passenger decks. A significant dry dock in November 2023 brought Starlink aboard and gave the World Stage, a theater wrapped in LED screens, new screen capabilities. Evenings revolve around music: Billboard Onboard and the Rolling Stone Rock Room share deck 2 forward, while Lincoln Center Stage BB Kings Blues Club pairs classical and blues. Dinner might be Prime steaks at Pinnacle Grill, French seafood at Rudi's Sel De Mer or Italian plates at Canaletto, and deck 10 aft gathers Tamarind, Nami Sushi and the sake-pouring Tamarind Bar. At Blend, sommeliers guide guests through mixing their own wine. Adults escape to The Retreat and the Hydro Pool, while children and teens have Club Hal.
