Andalsnes, situated south-east of Molde, is at the head of the Romsdalsfjord. Here in this heavenly location lies Svartisen Glacier or "Black Ice," the second largest ice area in Norway. Measuring some 180 square miles, the plateau also features individual peaks that spiral upwards of 5,174 feet.

Tromso, the home of the famous Northern Lights Observatory, is beautifully situated on a forest-covered isle. Take a leisurely island drive and visit the Tromso Museum and an ultra-modern cathedral, whose design was inspired by the ice of the Arctic.
