Renovation details
Carnival Dream, the lead Dream-class ship, was last renovated in February 2021. This refurbishment occurred during a pause in operations due to the pandemic and focused on routine maintenance rather than major overhauls. Updates included refreshed interiors with new carpeting and furniture, technical maintenance to the propulsion and safety systems, and a hull repaint. No significant new features were added, preserving its existing offerings like the WaterWorks aqua park and RedFrog Rum Bar for its 3,646 passengers, ensuring it was ready to resume service later that year. The next scheduled ship refurbishment will occur in March 2026. This is expected to be one of the more significant "major" refurbishments for 2026. As a Dream-class ship, it is rumored to receive a substantial layout change to its Lido Marketplace to improve flow, alongside the addition of a dedicated non-smoking casino annex.
