Pricing
$40 + per person
For dinner, pre-booking provides a $40 food credit per person toward the menu, plus a bonus $10 credit if spending reaches $40, with individual dishes typically priced affordably (e.g., starters around $8–$12, pastas $12–$18, pizzas $10–$15, and desserts $6–$8 based on recent reports). Beverages, including wine, cost extra unless covered by a package, and a complimentary house wine glass is available on embarkation day.
Attire
Trattoria recommended attire, according to Carnival, is "cruise casual" - including collared shirts, slacks, or jeans (no rips) for men, and blouses, sundresses, or pants for women, with no swimwear, tank tops, or flip-flops.
How to reserve
Once onboard, you can still book or modify specialty dining via the Carnival Hub App, at the dining reservation desk (usually near the atrium or Guest Services), or directly with the restaurant’s maître d’. Walk-ins are accepted based on availability, but pre-booked guests get priority. Onboard prices are full rate (no pre-purchase discount), and charges are added to your Sail & Sign account. Check the app daily for last-minute openings or specials, and note that some venues offer lunch at lower rates than dinner. Always confirm your reservations in the app 24 hours prior to avoid no-shows.
How to purchase
You can pre-purchase specialty dining on your upcoming Carnival cruise conveniently through the Carnival Hub App or the Carnival website before you sail, often at a 10–15% discount compared to onboard prices. After booking your cruise, log into your account on carnival.com, navigate to “Manage My Booking” > “Onboard Experiences” or “Dining,” and browse available restaurants (e.g., Steakhouse, JiJi Asian Kitchen, Bonsai Sushi). Select your preferred venue, date, and time slot—popular times fill quickly, so book early. Payment is charged to your credit card on file, and confirmations appear in your app and email. Pre-purchasing also locks in availability and sometimes includes perks like priority seating or bonus credits.
Age restrictions
Trattoria, like most public areas of your Carnival ship, requires that children under 13 years old must be supervised by an adult, especially during late-night hours.
Good to know
Hours for Trattoria may vary by itinerary. Typically, dinner is served between 5 and 10pm and lunch between noon and 2pm.
